All-Region Football Team Selected


The All-Region 6-3A team for the 2017 football season has been announced, and a number of Cheatham County, Harpeth and Sycamore players were selected to the team.

Cheatham County’s Landon Barnes was named Most Valuable Offensive Player and his Cubs teammate, Walker Bunce, was named Most Valuable Athlete. Sycamore’s Triston Hampton was selected Most Valuable Defensive Player.

Members of the Super Offense team are Sycamore’s Micheal Loosli and Konrad Schuessler.

Members of the Super Defense team are Cheatham County’s Ray Ray Sweatt and Harpeth’s Luke Gossett.

Cheatham County’s Zach Kessler was selected to the Super Special Teams.

Members of the All-Region football team are Cheatham County’s Britain Barber, Benton Puckett, Nate Hicks, Shawn Singleton and Jameson Singleton;

Sycamore’s Zack Sullivan, Trevor Gagnon, Issiah Havens and Mack Waddell; and Harpeth’s Blake Moulton and Zechariah Saffer.

Members of the All-Academic team are Sycamore’s Mack Waddell, Konrad Schuessler, Isaiah Havens, Kyle Spurlock, JJ Ivey, Micheal Loosli, Hayden Roth, Triston Hampton, Colton Higgins, Jacob Goble, Ty Tomlin, Eric Bunch, Will Stuart and Manning Waddell; Cheatham County’s Jorden Hoffman, Shawn Singleton, Landon Barnes, Britain Barber, Gavin Beard, Benton Puckett and Ricardo Morales; and Harpeth’s Dylan Capps, Freddy Polk, Justen Utley, Justin Anderson, Dalton Rucker, Jarrett McKinley, Blake Moulton and Zechariah Saffer.

Sycamore’s Hannah Turner, Aly Green and Conner Bunch, Cheatham County’s Nickolas Van Etten and Harpeth’s Tasha Kosinski and Raegan Ferguson were named All-Region football managers.

Cheatham County’s Dustin West was named Assistant Coach of the Year.
