PVCS Holds Veteran’s Day Chapel, Local Vet Gives Powerful Speech

The Rojas family

In a touching morning ceremony held on Friday, November 10, the students, staff, and parents of Pleasant View Christian School (PVCS) honored veterans in their annual Veteran’s Day Chapel.

As the parent of two PVCS elementary students, Army veteran, current member of the Army Reserves, and Pleasant View resident, Daniel Rojas, took to the microphone as the event’s guest speaker. He movingly spoke on what it means to be a veteran and the sacrifices those who serve make for the protection of freedom.

The ceremony also included the pledges by the Student Council, the Star Spangled Banner by Gary and Kelly Voorhies, God Bless the USA performed by the 4-6th-grade choir, a touching video, and lastly, the benediction by Mr. David Dell.
