Cheatham County Recognized with 2017 ThreeStar Award

Cheatham County earned the Governor’s ThreeStar Award for 2017. The recognition is based on performance, accountability, and efficiency in Economic and Community Development. County Mayor Kerry McCarver accepted the award during the Governor’s Conference in Gatlinburg on October 27.

The ThreeStar program began in 1980, and focuses on community development targeting improvements in the areas of jobs and economic development, fiscal strength and efficient government, public safety, health and welfare, education, and workforce development.
