Anderson Joins Beasley in Race to Fill Ward 1 Seat on Ashland City Council

October 12, 2017

On October 11, 2017, Ashland City resident Daniel Anderson announced that he has joined fellow write-in candidate, Candice Beasley, in the upcoming election for the open Ashland City Council seat in Ward 1.

Anderson, a 30-plus year resident of Ashland City, took to Facebook stating, “It would be a privilege to serve my community as a city councilman.” He also added that he has previously served the city as a police officer and is now locally employed with Industrial Electric Services where he holds a management position.

Tim Adkins and incumbent Roger Jackson are running unopposed for Ward 2 and Ward 3 respectively. When petition deadlines passed and Ward 1 was left without a candidate, Candice Beasley opted for write-in candidacy in late September.

As write-in's, neither Anderson or Beasley will appear on the ballot, but they can be written in by voters.

The election will take place on December 2. Elected candidates will serve a four-year term.
