Cheatham County Sheriff Mike Breedlove has announced the use of Nixle, an alert system designed to quickly get important information out to the community. Residents have the option to sign up for the system that allows Cheatham Dispatch to alert them, via smartphone, when there is severe weather, criminal activity, traffic delays, and missing persons.
"This is a system that has taken off nationwide," says Sheriff Breedlove. "And it is just another way for Cheatham citizens to stay informed."
