COMMUNITY ENHANCEMENT SUMMIT PLANNED FOR SEPT. 30

The Cheatham County Community Enhancement Coalition will host a “Community Enhancement Summit” on Saturday, Sept. 30.

The free event, which is open to the public, will be held at the National Guard Armory on Highway 12 South in Ashland City from 1-4 p.m.

The summit will provide a way for leaders of organizations that serve the Cheatham County community to come together.

At the same time, it will offer an opportunity for county residents to learn about community service and civic organizations, and for representatives of business and philanthropic organizations to learn about causes they can support however they choose.

There will be activities for children, and refreshments will be served.

The Cheatham County Community Enhancement Coalition brings together representatives from the county’s public health programs, schools, law enforcement providers, faith communities, government officials, organizations that serve youth, media, businesses, substance abuse providers, parents and other concerned citizens.

The coalition’s vision is to promote, strengthen and coordinate community partnerships to create a safe, healthy and drug-free community.
