Cheatham Middle School Playground Gets a Facelift

The children at Cheatham Middle returned to school on September 11 to a refreshed playground area. Volunteers from Cornerstone Church came out over the weekend to give the school the help it needed to get the worn-out pay area repaired, spruced-up, and in some areas, completely rebuilt.

As a part of a service project, and at no cost to the school or county, the Nashville-baed church sent out over 50 volunteers who got the project finished in just one day. The motivated and hard-working volunteers made the basketball court look new again by replacing the nets, painting the poles, and redoing the lines on the court. The playground received fresh mulch, the swings got new hinges and connectors, a volleyball net was added, eroded areas were filled, fences were mended, and the entire area was weeded and cleaned.
