A truck packed full of donations for Hurricane Harvey victims will be heading out of Cheatham County and toward Houston, Texas late tomorrow evening or early Friday morning. And while the response from the community has been great, the call for non-perishable food items has been made.
"We have a lot of other items, but we need food," says Amanda Bell Williams, who is helping to coordinate the effort. "Of course, we will take whatever you want to donate, but food is the main thing we need right now."
Donations can be brought to At Home Realty (124 Main Street, Ashland City) until 9 PM this evening and between 8 AM and 5 PM tomorrow, August 31. King Automotive (202 S Main Street, Ashland City) is also taking donations through at least 9PM tonight and from 10 AM to 5 PM tomorrow.
No more water can be accepted.
